Service for September 8, 2019

THIRTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Summer Christian Formation  (July & August)

Summer Christian Formation will take place during July and August in Wagner Parish Hall after the 9:30 service. We will spend these months learning more about racial reconciliation. These conversations will be without shame or blame as we listen deeply and learn more about our community, stories, and each other. Pick up a copy of The Little Book of Racial Healing (for $6) in the Parish Office or Wagner Hall, information on the years-long focus of racial reconciliation in the Diocese of Virginia by our Bishops, and a timeline of some events and efforts in Virginia.

· July & August ~ We will be discussing chapters each week from the book of The Little Book of Racial Healing.

Adult Forum: 9:15 am  September through June
We will meet in the Browne Room of Weber Hall on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available to bring to class. Please plan to join us. The discussions will be facilitated by Rev. Valerie and Jean Mary Taylor
